Reef life and Dreaming, painted on Bwgcolman
Uncle Allan paints reef ecology and Dreaming stories on Palm Island (Bwgcolman), a practice that long predates any partnership with ACT. Creative authority stays entirely with him; ACT contributes materials, documentation and pathways to market that respect cultural sovereignty. Seventeen works are documented so the knowledge held in them travels on the artist's terms.
Why this work
Supporting an artist is not the same as commissioning one. Uncle Allan's practice existed before ACT. What ACT provides is infrastructure: materials, documentation, exhibition pathways, and economic channels that respect cultural authority.
Documentation
Cultural knowledge preserved through art practice. Economic pathway established for artist.
