About the work
Forms, compliance demands and reporting requirements fall hardest on the people least equipped to absorb them. Redtape turns that invisible administrative burden into sculpture you cannot walk past, asking who carries the cost of red tape and why. Twenty-nine documentary photographs trace the work, shown alongside community sector practitioners who live it.
Why this work
Every form is a power relationship. Every compliance framework carries an assumption about who is trustworthy and who must prove themselves. Redtape makes that architecture visible, not as metaphor, but as material.
